Because of you, our local sports news is so fucking boring with nothing but soccer news… Our local radio is boring with petty arguments between the men supporting Man U and the women supporting Liverpool… How are we to ever succeed in sports when our own countrymen don’t know anything about our local sportsmen!? What a load of crap!

Singtel is another shit deal… I pity all the family members who have to deal with this..

Music: Zing, Trace – Zing is bollywood and trace is like urban beats… I don’t intend to to swing that way fully…

News: Al Jazeera,Euronews,, ETTV Asia News, CCTV-9, NDTV 24×7: Not too bad… Less redneck based news for once.

This is the best… Movies: Mei Ah Movies Channel (Asia) – First and only Canto movie channel in Singapore!!! Also, the only movie channel on Singtel Mio TV!

Sports (As of now): Football Frenzy 1,2,3 – SEE WHAT I MEAN?! YOU FOOTBALL LOVING FAGS!

Good Job Singtel, for spoiling everything for everyone… forcing families to fall apart. Losing the teenage market as you don’t offer anything!

If it were up to me, I’d boycott Singtel Mio TV, so should everyone else… At least until a generic Set up box is implemented.

Something scary in L4D

I was just checking my news feeds and I noticed something interesting on Digg… Apparently, there’s a bunch of dudes at L4Dmods.com who decided to throw in some mods to L4D and this time, it’s Teletubbies!

Yes, these assholes.

If you remember back in the late 90s, these guys were on Premier 12 from 5-6pm, 2 episodes back to back. The non-english in which they supposedly spoke, the baby in the sun that did nothing but just being cute and the bloody random video clips that would repeat themselves! These were pretty much the nightmare of most kids, including myself, and we actually knew for ourselves that it was BAD TELEVISION! You think watching shows like Family Guy, South Path, etc. is bad, at least they spoke english and sometimes you could pick up some moral values, but the Teletubbies!? WTF!!!

Anyway, back to the point.

The update…

Looks like TehLoft is up and running! Geoff and YK have been updating it really well with loads and loads of Apple news. Seems that I’ll be trying to bring in the other aspects of the geekiness.

I’ve been really busy trying to set up the ASRock and I am really tempted to run and Hackintosh on it… I’ll be continuing the Electronics Series as soon as I can find the time to do so.

It’s here!!! I’ll screw the unboxing rubbish and I’ll just get to the review…

First thing I did, 500GB HDD and 2GB RAM. The system seems a wee bit slow and I decided to overclock this shit. Operating at 2GHz and it’s responding better. I’ll try sending it to 2.1GHz. I am having issues with Windows Media Player 11 and trying to get it to play Iron Man 1080… I’m so detached from windows that I don’t know where to find all the bloody codecs!

Aside from that, it’s a great piece of work, with almost no sound coming from the machine.

Snow Leopard Incompatibilities

Alright, so I finally got SL and it’s running fine.

Quicksilver failed instantly.

I’ll cover the System preferences that are important to me.

Wacom Bamboo is working fine and so is sketchbox. However, Apple’s own Ink is dead…

Got rid of Perian as well… Edit: Perian works and YOU NEED IT! For some reason, I can’t play .avi file without Perian.

Growl is dead…

Starcraft is obviously dead and so is D2. I’m hoping that Blizzard will fix that. I still want to SC!!!

Adium is running on 32-bit… In fact, let me just take a screenshot and show you.

Holy F***ing Shit!

I have a bloody 32-bit EFI even though my processor is 64-bit! OMFG!!!

32-bit EFI on MBP 17" Santa Rosa

Apparently, not all macs will boot default into 64-bit mode. YK is in the clear as his MBP is listed as one of those that will boot into 64-bit.

Apparently there might be a fix by the Hackintosh community seems to be doing something about it…

The brief about it all is that Psystar is a company that basically build Computers that use Mac compatible hardware, upload them with Mac OSX and sells them at dirt cheap prices. For many people who are not Mac users and do not know the love users have for their Macs, it seems like a pretty good deal! A desktop that seems superior compared to a Mac is loaded with Mac OSX and sold at the price of a PC! Not only that, you don’t really have to pay for the OS since Apple does not license its software!

Snow Leopard is out!

SL is out and I don’t have it! In the meantime, I decided that I’m going to Archive and Install SL and see how things go. If it’s bad, I’ll simply wipe and spend a few hours reinstalling everything.

I finally got an external HDD. 500GB of fun! I bought the Buffalo Ministation and running Time Machine on it now. Gotta see how this works… 1 year of Leopard and I’ve never tried TM!
